The Park itself has many impressive 18th and 19th century garden and landscape features. There is a wide choice of walks through the estate, or if you prefer to ride, Monty the Margam Train (a narrow gauge railway), carries you through the estate. There are children's play areas, a farm trail, Fairy Tale Lane, a Fuchsia House, and extensive gardens, a cafeteria, Visitor Centre, toilets. Open daily, 10am-5pm (mornings only on Mondays and Tuesdays in winter); entry is free of charge.
