NEATH CANAL WALKS

For gentler walks in the Vale of Neath with minimal problems of navigation, the Neath Canal offers a beautiful, green corridor and easy walkway, rich in wildlife, which can be accessed from several points close to the X5 bus services; perfect for a linear walking along the canal without having to retrace your steps. The best walk is a superb stretch of towpath from Clyne to Aberdulais basin, with its remarkable viaduct, locks and other features of early canal history. You can also explore Neath and Tennant canals closer to Neath with the trip boat Thomas Dadford operating during the summer months from the centre of Neath along a picturesque section of canal.

X5/X75 from Swansea and Neath to Clyne lock or Resolven lock
